Andrew Hussie, the creator of Homestuck, is a profoundly introverted and meticulous creative who built one of the most sprawling, self-referential webcomics ever made almost entirely in solitude. He shunned conventional publicity, communicated almost exclusively through his work, and developed a cult following despite — or because of — his elusive, mysterious public persona. His obsessive focus on craft, his sharp and often sardonic wit embedded deep within the work itself, and his retreat from the spotlight all point unmistakably to the snake.
