Ayn Rand embodied the eagle's fierce independence, towering intellectual vision, and refusal to compromise her principles for social acceptance. She built an entire philosophical system — Objectivism — from the ground up, demanding the highest standards of rational thought and holding herself and others to them relentlessly.
