Enya is famously reclusive, living in a castle in Ireland and rarely giving interviews or touring, guarding her private world with fierce independence. Her creative process is almost entirely self-contained — she layers her own voice hundreds of times and works in deep, unhurried solitude with her longtime collaborators, allowing no outside interference with her vision. Like the wild-cat, she is comfort-loving and deeply sensuous in her art, yet utterly unpredictable and impossible to domesticate by the music industry.
