Eric Barone, known as ConcernedApe, single-handedly developed Stardew Valley over four years, handling every pixel, note, and line of code himself — a textbook beaver's obsessive pride in craft. He is driven by an almost compulsive need to get everything exactly right, continuing to release free updates to the game years after its massive success because the work is never truly finished in his mind. His public persona is humble, introverted, and entirely focused on his creation rather than fame or showmanship.
