Ivan IV of Russia was a ruthless, calculating ruler whose reign was defined by extreme violence, paranoia, and iron-fisted control — most infamously through his secret police, the Oprichnina, which terrorized the Russian nobility. Like a crocodile, he was patient and strategic when consolidating power, but capable of explosive, devastating violence, including reportedly killing his own son in a rage. His personality blended cold political intelligence with savage brutality, perfectly mirroring the crocodile's ancient, armored, remorseless nature.
