Aphex Twin has built an entire career on deliberate strangeness and radical self-determination — releasing music under multiple aliases, trolling fans and record labels, and constructing a sonic world utterly unlike anyone else's. His path has been stubbornly unconventional: hiding tracks in spectrograms, buying a bank in Cornwall, and operating entirely outside mainstream music industry structures. Like a mountain-goat, he finds footing on terrain others consider impossible and seems to relish the isolation and eccentricity of it all.
