The albatross drifts through life on invisible currents, while the giraffe stands conspicuously rooted in the social landscape — these two admire each other from a distance more than they actually connect. The albatross finds the giraffe's self-consciousness quietly exhausting, and the giraffe can't quite relax around someone who might vanish over the horizon tomorrow. There's genuine intrigue here, but not much to hold it together once the novelty fades.
