The bat flits through life on intuition and nocturnal whimsy, while the beaver has already filed, dammed, and color-coded tomorrow's schedule. As friends, this odd couple works surprisingly well — the beaver secretly admires the bat's creative chaos, and the bat needs someone to stop them from making truly terrible decisions. Romantically, though, it's a slow-motion collision: the beaver wants a five-year plan and the bat can't commit to a five-minute plan. The sparks exist, but building anything lasting together requires one of them to fundamentally betray their nature — and guess which one the beaver is already drafting a proposal about.
