The bat swoops through the night with radar-sharp instincts, while the giraffe stands tall in the daylight, serenely chewing on things no one else can reach — metaphorically and literally. As friends, they're surprisingly solid: the bat brings the intrigue, the giraffe brings the perspective, and together they cover a lot of ground. Romantically, though, it's a bit like dating someone who lives in a completely different time zone and also a different ecosystem. The sparks are lukewarm at best, and the bedroom situation is best left to the imagination — or perhaps not imagined at all.
