The bison charges through life with thunderous confidence, while the porcupine's entire personality is essentially a 'Do Not Touch' sign. As friends, they can manage a grudging mutual respect — the bison admires the porcupine's self-sufficiency, and the porcupine secretly appreciates someone too thick-skinned to take offense. Romantically, though, this pairing is a slow-motion disaster: the bison wants warmth and loyalty, and the porcupine responds to intimacy by deploying more quills.
