The deer is all dewy eyes and gentle idealism, while the weasel is busy calculating exactly how to exploit that. As friends, there's just enough mutual curiosity to keep things interesting — the deer finds the weasel thrillingly edgy, and the weasel enjoys having someone so refreshingly naive to practice on. Romantically, though, this is a disaster waiting to happen: the deer needs trust and tenderness, and the weasel needs... leverage. The bedroom might spark briefly, but the deer will eventually realize they've been charmed, disarmed, and emotionally pickpocketed.
