One Fetch Too Many, One Crow Too Loud

The Dog trots in with boundless loyalty and a wagging need for affection, while the Rooster struts in expecting a standing ovation just for showing up. As friends, they can just about tolerate each other's nonsense — the Dog finds the Rooster entertaining, and the Rooster enjoys having an audience. Romantically, though, this is a slow-motion disaster: the Dog wants cuddles and devotion, and the Rooster wants a mirror that compliments them back. In bed, there's a brief spark, but the Rooster will spend more time narrating the experience than actually being present for it.
