The Dog and Sheep make genuinely lovely friends — loyal, warm, and endlessly supportive of each other's feelings and snack choices. Romantically, though, the Dog's boisterous need for adventure tends to steamroll the Sheep's preference for a quiet meadow and a good cry. The Sheep wants to be cherished; the Dog wants to fetch things and be celebrated for it — not quite the same love language. Between the sheets, however, they find enough common ground to make it work, mostly because the Sheep is agreeable and the Dog is enthusiastic, which covers a lot of ground.
