One Wants to Play, One Waits to Feed

The dolphin bounds through life with infectious joy, cracking jokes and making friends with everyone in the ocean — while the vulture circles overhead, waiting patiently for something to go wrong. Romantically, this is less a love story and more a nature documentary with a grim ending. The dolphin's relentless optimism will eventually exhaust the vulture, and the vulture's brooding pragmatism will slowly kill the dolphin's vibe. These two might manage a polite friendship, but only if the dolphin agrees to occasionally acknowledge that life is bleak, and the vulture agrees never to say 'I told you so' — conditions neither can meet.
