The Fox and Swan make genuinely great friends — the Fox's sharp wit and social cunning complement the Swan's elegant idealism in ways that are surprisingly endearing. Romantically, however, the Fox's restless scheming and the Swan's need for fairy-tale devotion tend to crash into each other like a speeding car into a very beautiful, very expensive statue.
