The gorilla commands respect through quiet authority and brooding gravitas, while the sea lion is basically a golden retriever in a tuxedo — charming, loud, and desperate for applause. As friends, they can just about tolerate each other at a party, provided the sea lion doesn't try to get the gorilla to do karaoke.
