The horse craves open horizons and the thrill of the herd, while the shrew is basically a tiny, furious anxiety machine running on caffeine and grievances. As friends, they can occasionally find common ground — usually when the shrew needs a lift somewhere and the horse is feeling generous. Romantically, though, this pairing is less 'opposites attract' and more 'opposites exhaust each other into oblivion.' The horse will bolt for freedom, and the shrew will spend the next three weeks explaining exactly why that was the wrong decision.
