The mole likes the dark, the familiar, and the comfort of a well-worn tunnel — the mountain goat likes vertical cliffs, bracing winds, and the thrill of nearly dying on a ledge. As friends, they can occasionally meet in the middle, usually when the goat needs grounding and the mole needs a push. Romantically, though, this pairing is essentially a long-distance relationship between two different planets. The mole will never understand why anyone would voluntarily stand on a precipice, and the goat will never forgive the mole for preferring to stay home.
