The mole prefers quiet tunnels, spreadsheets, and solitude, while the sea lion is essentially a stand-up comedian who needs a crowd to survive. The mole will retreat further underground every time the sea lion honks for attention, and the sea lion will mistake that silence for an invitation to honk louder.
