Underground Meets Undersea, Nobody Wins

The mole likes to keep its head down, its world small, and its drama nonexistent — the walrus, a lumbering social creature who commands attention like a one-man parade, is basically the mole's worst nightmare. They might share a drink and a laugh, but when it comes to romance, the mole will eventually burrow away from the walrus's thunderous emotional needs and need for an audience. In bed, there's a fleeting curiosity between these two oddities of nature, but curiosity doesn't pay the rent. This pairing works best as a brief, bewildering chapter in both their lives — not a novel.
