The Rooster Crows, The Mouse Hides

The Rooster struts into every room like they own the deed, while the Mouse is quietly hoping nobody notices them refilling their plate. One craves the spotlight, the other craves a small hole in the baseboard wall — and somehow this does not make for riveting dinner conversation. The Rooster's bluster leaves the Mouse exhausted, and the Mouse's timidity leaves the Rooster performing to an audience of one. The bedroom offers a brief ceasefire, but outside of it, these two are essentially starring in different movies.
