The otter bounces through life like a golden retriever on espresso, while the vulture circles overhead with the patience of someone who's already written the eulogy. As friends, they can make it work — the otter provides the fun, the vulture provides the reality check nobody asked for. Romantically, though, this is a slow-motion tragedy: the otter wants spontaneous beach trips, the vulture wants to dissect why the last relationship failed. Between the sheets, there's a flicker of intrigue, but it fades fast when one partner wants to cuddle and the other is already composing a post-mortem.
