Beauty and Brains, But Mostly Headaches

The Owl arrives with a library in their head and a spreadsheet for feelings, while the Peacock arrives with better hair and zero interest in either. As friends, they can just about manage — the Owl finds the Peacock amusing, and the Peacock finds the Owl useful — but romance is where this particular nature documentary gets ugly. The Owl wants depth, candlelit conversation, and emotional honesty; the Peacock wants to be filmed from their good side. In bed they might find a fleeting moment of mutual fascination, but by morning the Owl is overanalyzing and the Peacock is already checking the mirror.
