Sharp Quills Meet a Taste for Rot

The porcupine's prickly self-sufficiency and the vulture's cool, calculating patience make for an odd couple that occasionally works as friends — mostly because neither really needs the other. Romantically, though, this is a slow-motion disaster: the porcupine demands space and respect, while the vulture is perfectly happy circling and waiting for someone to emotionally collapse. In bed, there's a fleeting curiosity, but the porcupine's defenses and the vulture's detachment mean the spark dies before anyone gets too comfortable. Basically, one of them is always on guard and the other is always scheming — which is either a thriller plot or a terrible relationship.
